Theatre Peckham partnership and internships
Theatre Peckham is a cultural flagship venue that champions artistic excellence and supports young people, particularly those from low economic backgrounds to engage with the arts.
They provide affordable artistic training for young people through their Academy with classes in dance, singing, acting and backstage skills as well as an Artistic Development programme, Young Peckham, which supports artists with an alternative route into creative industries.
ICTheatre are proud to support Theatre Peckham, having developed an ongoing workshop programme as part of our mission to make creative arts training accessible as part of our own Access and Participation plan.
As part of this partnership we were fortunate to be able to arrange work placements over the summer for two ICTheatre students: Eleasha Lartey and Shannon Norman
Eleasha will be acting as a Stage Manager for the showcase ‘TAP Windrush’ and Shannon will be Supporting the Academy with the end of year showcases, working closely with the production team to ensure the good running of the showcases, and supporting with memberships. Congratulations to Eleasha and Shannon, we are so proud of you!
