ICTheatre Manchester hold Agent Panel Sessions for final year students

12 February, 2024

Wednesday January 24, saw not one but two agent panel sessions take place at ICTheatre Manchester for third year Contemporary Musical Theatre, Northern Ballet School, and Hip Hop Artistry students.

Contemporary Musical Theatre and Northern Ballet School students took part in a dance call, Q&A with the guests, and solo singing calls. From this, the agents selected individual students to return for call backs and further meetings. The students grilled the panel with some great questions and learnt a lot about the industry, agencies, and the process of applying for representation and getting auditions. A number of students also received offers of representation on the day.

The panel for the Contemporary Musical Theatre and Northern Ballet School agents were:

  • Lindsay Bradicic / Darcey Ferguson– KMC Agencies
  • Kris Siekerman – You Management
  • Andy Thompson / Daryl Chatterton – JNorth Associates
  • Paige Fenlon – Performer
  • Martina Gumbs / Melissa Gumbs – MM Jazz
  • Nathaniel Scott-Duxbury – Network Artist Management

Hip Hop Artistry students took part in a dance call, with the opportunity to freestyle and cypher, showing their full range of abilities. They then had a Q&A session and received feedback from the panel guests, who gave insight into how agents work and what the students could expect.

The Hip Hop Artistry agent panel was made up of:

  • Josh Wharmby – Choreographer
  • Simeon Beckett  – Performer
  • Fi Silverthorn – Birdgang Hip Hop Dance company

Laura Keeling, Head of Careers for BIMM University’s Performing Arts faculty commented on the day:

“Agent Panel sessions are an extremely beneficial event and a valuable tool for any third-year student. Not only do they engage in what feels like a professional audition day, they get feedback and a Q&A with our Industry Partners and agents on all they feel they need to ask about securing representation, booking auditions, and feedback on their rep choices. I’d like to thank our fantastic panel members who attended, who said they thoroughly enjoyed the day and the talent on offer and have set up further meetings with many of our students to discuss future professional representation.”

Congratulations to all students who took part, and thanks to all of our guest agents for joining us.
