Our mindful ethos

At ICTheatre, we’re fully committed to creating an environment that is both nurturing, inspirational and authentic. We want our students to enjoy a unique experience where you continue to be self-motivated, confident and flexible as you grow into the best possible version of yourself.

We strive to deliver the best performing arts training available, utilising our talented faculty to ensure that learning is exciting, relevant and congruent with your experience as you step into the professional arena.

As individuals, we’ll endeavour to seek out your strengths and encourage you to push the boundaries, as well as working with you on any challenges you might have. We’ll ensure that you keep moving forward and find ways through potentially tough situations without crushing your beliefs.

This industry can be extremely challenging, but at ICTheatre, we believe that the psychology of our students is paramount to your success, and teachers will work together to make sure that you’re taught life skills, techniques and mindfulness to illuminate any limiting beliefs that may be holding you back from realising your full potential as a strong-minded individual.

"I’ve overcome so many fears since joining ICTheatre, I truly believe this is the future of performance art training. ICTheatre teaches you how we as humans behave in this world, how to be kind and professional, and how to leave your ego behind."
Giulia Federici, BA (Hons) Performing Arts

Personal development

In order to sustain a career in the performing arts it is not only essential that actors are trained to perform at the highest level, but they should also be equipped, both mentally and physically, to face the challenges that they will inevitably encounter as they enter the business.

We take the wellbeing of our students very seriously at ICTheatre, offering a unique approach which embeds the practice of daily meditation and mindfulness into the fabric of the training.

Students are instructed in the principle of strategic intervention, which is a process aimed not only at solving problems, but also at expanding the capacity for happiness.

Talent, discipline and hard work are fundamental, but mental and physical wellbeing are also crucial, not only to sustain a career in the industry, but also to gain fulfilment in all aspects of life.
