Lesley Van Egmond

Vocals Lecturer

Lesley studied music and drama at The London College of Music, where she earned her Fellowship Diploma in Musical Theatre, as well as grades in flute, keyboards, drama & music theory.

She is the founder and teacher of LOVE vocals in St Leonards on sea, teaching vocals and keys to students of all ages (her youngest is 5 years old and her oldest is currently 75). Lesley has been involved in many musical shows, on stage as a singing principal in shows such as Beauty and the Beast, Jesus Christ Superstar and Elton John’s Aida.

She has performed in the orchestra pit playing keys and has musical directed/vocal coached many shows, including local youth productions where she usually has a teenage cast of 50+ and, on one youth production of Les Miserables, a youth orchestra of 17 under her baton. She feels very passionately about community music and the joy that singing and music brings to people of all abilities and ages.

Lesley is very excited to be part of the team at ICTheatre Brighton.
