As a singer, Rachel has performed extensively in the UK, Europe, America and the Middle East with London venues including The Royal Albert Hall, Earls Court Stadium and Shepherds Bush Empire. She currently sing backing vocals for electro synth band Heaven 17 with whom she has toured with for 7 years and played festivals such as Music Tastes Good (Los Angeles), Rewind (UK wide) and Isle Of Wight Festival.
Rachel has supported artists such as Beverley Knight (100% tour) and Mercury Prize Winner Speech Debelle and has previously sung backing vocals for; Shingai Shinowa (Noisettes), Peter Hook (New Order/ Joy Division), Glen Matlock (Sex Pistols), Jaki Graham, Mari Wilson, Eddi Reader (Fairground Attraction), Robin Scott (M), Thomas Dolby, The Lotus Eaters, Peter Hooton, Kim Appleby and Claudia Brucken as well as performing worldwide with corporate covers bands providing entertainment for clients such as Sony, OK Magazine, ITV and more.
She has provided vocals for XBOX game; ‘The Voice’ and has worked with bespoke composition company Box Projects providing vocals for regional and national radio advertisements. Rachel has live TV performance experience (BBC1) and has appeared in advertisements for national TV campaigns.
As a vocal coach Rachel specialises in advanced vocal technique and mental skills training to help singers overcome mental blocks and perform to their full potential. Clients include performing artists, touring bands, professional singers including competition finalists from shows such as The Voice and Let it Shine, public speakers and actors.
Rachel holds a BA(hons) Degree in Professional Musicianship, a Post Graduate Certificate in Professional Practice (specializing in Vocal Pedagogy) and is currently working towards a Master’s Degree in Voice Pedagogy.
