ICTheatre Brighton Presents: Julius Caesar

29 Mar 2023

ICTheatre Brighton presents Julius Caesar

‘I have a man’s mind but a woman’s might.’

Welcome to the near future: 2033. A world ravaged by war, where patriarchal power structures have all but destroyed the world. The climate is collapsing, there are food shortages, women have become second-class citizens.

Julius Caesar returns from his most recent war victorious, but the Rome he rules is a shell of its former self and its people are unsettled, ripe for revolution…

Shakespeare’s always-relevant political thriller about power, morality and the cost of ambition is given a fresh interpretation by an all-female company.
