Brighton: Motion Capture Workshop

25 Jun 2022

This is a very special event for applicants and offer holders for 2022 entry on to our BA (Hons) Performing Arts.

Please join us for a deep dive into motion capture on this full days workshop!

Motion Capture is a cutting-edge method of capturing all or part of an actor’s performance so that it can be translated into the action of a computer-generated 3D character on screen.

This process has been very successfully used in films such as Avatar, Lord of the Rings and World War Z. Recently Motion Capture has been used in combination with Virtual Production in films such as The Jungle Book and Ready Player One, this new usage of the technology has made it more popular than ever.

It’s an exciting time for motion capture and we want you to join the movement!
