Join us for an exclusive in-college event on Sunday 18th April for a day of acting workshops with a twist from looking at why a classic is still contemporary and why the new kid on the block is set to become a classic.
Hosted by our expert lecturers, these workshops will provide insight into what the next three years of your life could like look – as well as your future acting career.
Morning: Shakespeare in the Contemporary World
With Robin Belfield
Exploring the practical tools for performing Shakespeare. Whether you’re new to Shakespeare or a big fan, in this session we’ll find ways of building a character by unlocking the language.
Robin Belfield is a theatre director, writer and educator with experience in making theatre of different scales and in a variety of settings – from Shakespeare to musical theatre. He is passionate about developing new talent and prides himself on the collaborative nature of his working process. As Young People’s Performance Developer for the Royal Shakespeare Company Robin developed and directed projects with young people all over England. As part of this work, he established and led the RSC’s Next Generation initiative.
Afternoon: Acting for Motion Capture Workshop
