Breaking the mould in performing arts

Dare to be different. Join the ICTheatre Movement.

The Institute for Contemporary Theatre (ICTheatre) is at the vanguard of performing arts training. We bring far more than acting, dance and musical theatre training at degree level. Whatever your discipline, you’ll have the opportunity to choose from an eclectic range of extra-curricular modules and masterclasses, making your experience at ICTheatre as unique as you are. These can include circus skills, mime, burlesque dancing, parkour, stand-up comedy and more.

To be successful in the creative industries, you must be industrious, imaginative and take control of your own ideas. Entrepreneurship is at the heart of everything we do, and we’re proud to train bold, brave and brilliant performers who are breaking the mould in performing arts.

You’ll have regular access to industry advisory panels with casting agents, directors, and experts in film, TV and music who will share their insights into the entertainment industry. Meeting with these panels means we stay up to date and reactive – as the industry evolves, so do we.

With unrivalled facilities at both ICTheatre Manchester and ICTheatre Brighton – including our very own in-house theatre – ICTheatre is where dreams become reality. As part of BIMM University which also includes BIMM Institute and Screen and Film School, we provide even more opportunities to network and develop a wide range of skills across creative industries

Whether you want to be on stage, develop your own productions, or make a name for yourself as an industry innovator, we’ll help you find your unique flavour and support your big, bold vision at every stage of development. Your success is our business.
