ICTheatre update following the death of Queen Elizabeth II

12 September, 2022

We are extremely saddened by the death of Her Majesty The Queen. We offer our deepest condolences to the Royal Family.

A period of National Mourning has now started and will continue until the end of the day of the State Funeral. The Government has stated that there is no obligation to cancel or postpone events during the period of national mourning.

Further information can be found on the UK’s Government website.

Public Holiday Monday 19th September

The Queen’s state funeral will take place on this day, which has been declared a national holiday in the UK.

ICTheatre will operate its usual public holiday procedures on this day which will be a college closure day and our campus services and facilities will be closed.

Several important student induction events had been planned for this day, which cannot be moved or rescheduled and will therefore be cancelled. Alternative arrangements will be made to ensure the induction process continues to operate as efficiently as possible. We will update students affected by these arrangements as soon as we can.
