UCAS applications for 2021 now open
If you’d like to apply for either BA (Hons) Performing Arts or our brand new BA (Hons) Production Management and Entrepreneurship degree course starting in September 2021, you’ll need to start thinking about submitting your UCAS application soon.
Due to UK COVID-19 restrictions, the undergraduate degree UCAS application deadline has now been extended to Friday 29th January at 18:00 (UK time). This is to allow both students and their teachers and advisers additional time to complete applications and references.
We don’t want you to miss out – applications that are submitted after this date will only be considered after all the January equal consideration deadline applications have been processed, so it’s best to get yours in on time.
How does the UCAS work?
At this stage, when you apply to UCAS you’ll be asked to submit up to five options for the courses that you’d like to study, at the education institutes you’d like to join. You’ll find ICTheatre’s course under ‘BIMM Institute’. To make an application through UCAS, you’ll need to go to www.ucas.com and register before you can submit any choices.
What to include in your UCAS application
Your application will need to include the following:
- A list of all your academic achievements, including any pending qualifications
- A Personal Statement (under a maximum of 4,000 characters).
- A reference from either a teacher, tutor or employer.
What happens after I’ve applied?
Once your UCAS application has been received, we’ll invite you in for an audition. If you aren’t able to attend in person then there are other options available such as a video submission.
What happens next?
If your assessment is successful, you’ll either be provided with a ‘conditional offer’ (pending until we receive your exam results and certificates) or an ‘unconditional offer’ (you’ve met the entry criteria for the course and don’t need to supply any additional information). Offers will be announced via UCAS’s ‘Track’ facility.
