Third Year productions at ICTheatre

25 January, 2023

At ICTheatre our third-year students spend their final year focusing on public-facing productions. We have already seen ICTheatre Brighton wow audiences with Urinetown, Chorus Line and The Tight Squeeze. Our Manchester Training Professionals have had an incredible experience in their productions Bitch Boxer and Little Shop of Horrors.

This week we are wishing well to the ICTheatre Manchester third-year acting pathway students who open I, Don Quixote. Thrown into jail for offences against the Catholic church, Miguel De Cervantes, poet, soldier, and the tax collector is put on trial by his fellow inmates.

Will they manage to rob him of all his worldly possessions, or will Cervantes manage to use his wit and imagination to play his way out of this tricky situation?

This highly visual, playful, and imaginative piece of ensemble theatre is bursting with humour, heart, beauty and fantasy, “I, Don Quixote” is surely a Knight to remember.

In Brighton this week, we have started rehearsals for Pippin and Sweet Charity.

Sweet Charity will be directed by Brighton’s very own Head of Musical Theatre, Tober Reilly and will be choreographed by the amazing, Anna Alvarez. Our second musical of 2023 in Brighton will be none other than Pippin: directed and choreographed by the fantastic Xena Gusthart. Yes, we’re doubling up on the Fosse musicals this year!
