To be a part of ICTheatre is to be a part of a movement.
Our goal at ICTheatre is to remove the barriers preventing people from choosing a career in performing arts; whether these are financial, physical, cultural or personal. We have developed a unique degree programme encompassing three pathways within the BA (Hons) Performing Arts:
- Contemporary Musical Theatre
- Acting 21st Century
- Hip Hop Artistry
We know how busy staff are in schools and colleges. Our outreach programmes are designed to support staff not just with delivering skills but also with information about progression and destinations in the Arts.
We are new institute and therefore want to make ourselves known to teachers and students and share our inclusive vision of performing arts training.
Our Degrees offer people who may not be able to afford to pay the huge fees attached to many performing arts courses, an excellent training. More than this though, we also want to deliver a curriculum that enables students to develop entrepreneurial skills and to expand their knowledge of the industry.
We are very honest with our students about the difficulties of embarking on a career as a performer. We want them to be able to generate their own work and to be aware of other avenues available to them when not performing.
We have a programme that develops a wide range of skills alongside those of dancing, singing and acting and if we have a student who shows interest in an area of the industry, we find placements for them. We also have a very strong focus on mental resilience throughout the course.
Therefore, we are offering a range of FREE workshops that we can hold at your school/college.
Please note that these workshops are for sixth form students looking for higher education courses in the Performing Arts. The tutors teaching these workshops are all industry professionals with fantastic professional experience and CV’s.
We can tailor packages to be in line with the curriculum, or the following packages could include a current West End or TV performer however minimum student numbers and fees might apply.
