ICTheatre launch new Production Management and Entrepreneurship degree

20 October, 2020

We’re excited to announce a brand-new BA (Hons) degree course to add to the ICTheatre portfolio, available to study in all ICTheatre colleges across the UK.

In line with ICTheatre’s ethos of looking ahead to the entertainment industry of the 21st Century, we have developed a degree programme that not only teaches you how to create, run, manage and finance productions but gives you the skills to see your dreams realised. In an uncertain landscape, it has never been more important to be an entrepreneur and take the lead.

Not only will you graduate knowing how to make tough decisions, but you’ll also know how to be innovative, informed, supportive, collaborative and creative – along with other key skills necessary for a portfolio career in the creative industries.

Students will learn how to create and manage diverse types of productions, such as theatrical, musical, TV or film production, or a blend of different disciplines. As well as the how-to, students will also explore the responsibilities and strategies needed to integrate into future diverse entertainment events.

There will also be a focus on digital marketing, digital content creation, PR, branding, social media, digital arts, and how to develop concepts, strategies and pitches. The course will be supported by more traditional skills like business ethics and entertainment law, market research and consultancy.

Graduates can progress to employment in creative roles such as Artists Management, Brand Ambassador, Stage Management, Conceptual Designer, Event Designer, Event Finance Co-ordinator, Producer, Line Producer, Production Manager, Production Coordinator, Artists Liaison, Festival Programmer, Event Logistics, Post-production Coordinator and more.
