A message from our Founder & Creative Director, Mia Bird

28 May, 2020

These are challenging of times. There isn’t a person in the world who hasn’t been touched by Covid-19 in one way or another. However we will come out of this, and when we do society will be more in need than ever of those amongst us who can lift spirits and morale through performance. With this in mind, ICTheatre will continue delivering a training that is contemporary, rigorous and exciting.

We have planned extensively for the next academic year and whilst still observing Government guidelines we aim to deliver classes to a great degree in our specialist accommodation. We want you to work in a studio, with colleagues, guided by our expert tutors. Although some modules, such as study skills, may continue to be delivered online, the aim is for the majority of practical classes to be delivered live. Obviously, if we are out of lockdown by September then we will be throwing open our doors as wide as usual, however if some level of social distancing is still in place, then we have planned a delivery that can respond to this.

Your safety is of paramount importance. We will adapt group sizes, utilise all spaces with care, and maintain a very high level of cleanliness. We will be vigilant at all times, but we will also deliver a course that serves you. You will be challenged, developed and inspired just as you should be when you entrust your training to a college; when you take that first and crucial step towards the profession you have chosen.

We look forward to seeing you all in the future. In the meantime stay safe and well. This pandemic will pass, and as awful as these months have been, there is much to look forward to as we head towards September and the start of a brand-new academic year! We can’t wait!

Do please contact us with any questions and concerns – we are here to help!
