Robin Belfield

Robin is a British-Bahamian theatre director, writer and educator. Before joining ICTheatre Robin worked for the Royal Shakespeare Company where he developed the RSC’s Next Generation initiative (working in partnership with theatres across the country) to deliver a successful national talent development programme.
As a freelancer Robin has directed plays and musicals for many of the UK’s major theatres including: The RSC, The National Theatre, Nuffield Southampton Theatres, The Watermill Theatre, Bristol Old Vic and Theatre Royal Bath.
As an educator he has previously taught and directed productions for Royal Welsh College of Music & Drama, The Oxford School of Drama and the Guildhall School of Music & Drama.
His first book Telling The Truth: How to Make Verbatim Theatre was published by Nick Hern Books in 2018.
